Activision and Infinity Ward have finally revealed the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Infinity Ward announced that the multiplayer for current and next generation versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts was built on 3 pillars.

Soldier

As opposed to previous versions of COD multiplayer, where you were given the choice of generic soldiers and only allowed to customize the class you chose, Ghosts will have 20,000 different possible customizations for the actual soldier. This includes choosing from different body mods to alter your physical look, which helps define your personal style. These are not purely cosmetic as they will affect gameplay.

The World

The game will feature “dynamic map events” causing physical changes in the map to create new avenues to move and possibly creating new cover. It wasn’t stated if the majority of the environment would be destructible though, unlike Battlefield 4‘s “Levolution“.

Call of Duty: Ghosts also adds 7 new game modes, 30 new weapons, kill streaks, and a co-op mode.

Call of Duty Anywhere

An evolution of COD Elite, the upcoming Call of Duty app will bring the core experience of Elite to mobile devices. It will bring second screen support into multiplayer.

Options include allowing you to edit your squad, pick a new loadout during matches, and share via Facebook and Twitter. The app will also feature larger Clan support by offering clan chat through the mobile app and adds a touch-based emblem editor.
