Activision has released 6 new trailers for Call of Duty: Ghosts, featuring ‘real world’ people recounting their experiences playing the game. Interestingly EA did something very similar with Battlefield 4 last month: could this be another sign that maybe Activision’s franchise has fallen behind?

The trailers are supposed to be funny, and that might be true, but they don’t necessarily make Call of Duty look good. Each is set in a ‘normal’ scenario, like dinner, tea time, night shift and so on. Check them out below. What do you think?

Battlefield 4’s ‘Only in Battlefied‘ trailer series wasn’t satirical, and showed us some of the ridiculous things we could be doing in multiplayer mode next month. They got the tone of the game, and gamers right, whereas these funny Activision spots make Call of Duty: Ghosts online multiplayer seem a little sad. That probably isn’t the intention.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is out November 5th in the US, and November 9th in Europe.
